Rabbi Yaakov Shafferman
Professional Experience
Rabbi Yaakov Shafferman has over 10 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership. He has served in leadership positions in a wide range of schools and roles. Since 2017, he’s been active in teacher training and instructional coaching of teachers and leaders. He was the principal of the Middle School of Basel, the School Rabbi in the Noam School in Zurich, and Principal of Antwerp, Belgium. He organized the EU-Chinuch conventions in Europe in cooperation with Torah Umesorah. He currently serves as Board Chair and consultant for the Rosh Pina school in Amsterdam. He also works as a private consultant and instructional Coach. Rabbi Shafferman lives in Antwerp, Belgium, with his family.

Educational Background
Rabbi Shafferman is a Ner Leelef graduate and achieved smicha by the Chief rabbinate of Israel and Rav Zalman Nechmya Goldberg zt”l. He’s a trained school principal (Swiss Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in School Principalship and Business Administration) and has further developed in the areas of change management, strategic planning and instructional innovation.
